A
Message from Uncle Bob.
Well
gang, it's on! After
months of searching,
we are back on the air
where we belong. Our
last show was in September.
. .almost nine months!
That's a long time and
the crew and I were
getting itchy to say
the least. In that time,
I've had the opportunity
to travel around the
state. . .even got out
west for a tad. I've
had a great time, a
bit of a vacation if
you will, but now I
am ready to get back
to it.
Some thanks are in order.
I would like to thank
my business partners
Jerry Hawkins and Dave
Clevinger for their
tremendous business
insights and for the
faith they showed in
the show and in the
process. . . who kept
me going when I began
to doubt and for reminding
me that "this ain't
about the money!".
All my friends at the
Detroit Chapter of SCI
and SCI/Southeast Michigan
Bow chapter for championing
our cause and cheering
us on. To my friend
Ken Kneely and his crew
at KD Outdoors, not
just great sponsors
but for being true friends
when the chips were
down. To our agent of
record, who wishes to
remain nameless, and
who can blame him(?),
for leading the way
at getting us back on
the air (and for also
ignoring my ego, no
small task! "do
you know who I think
I am. . .anyway?!).
To Bill Parker and the
staff at Michigan Outdoor
News for believing in
the show, weather we
agree or not. He's a
true "old school"
journalist, not many
of them left in this
day of "T&A
Journalism". To
Debbie Kenyon, CBS Radio,
Detroit, for bargaining
in good faith and helping
us work out a deal that
everyone could live
with.
To Ted Nugent, Rob Striker
and Joe Wade Formacola
for getting me back
on the air and providing
the professional guidance
that got me through
to today. To Dick Kernan,
Doug Podell, Curley
Cartop and "Air
Ace" Jerry Lubin
for teaching me about
"the business"
to begin with.
To my good friends Rick,
Harly Rick & Spike
the Wonder Dog, Big
Rick, Tom, Kently, Dan,
Tuck, Bobby, Fred, Memphis
Pete and the rest, for
looking past the smoke
screen and showing me
that there truly is
balance in life if I
choose to find it. They
are truly dignitaries
among men.
To Justin and Rachel
for letting me be their
dad no matter who I
think I am.
And to my crew: Mike
Buschell, Chuck Kaminskis,
Capt. Dan Schimilack,
Chef Ray Hollingsworth,
Tom Pardo, C.O. Ron
Pinson, Doc. . . . .Sleepy,
Sneezy, Grumpy and Dopey
for being "The
Crew".
And to all those I didn't
name 'cause I had to
stop before Web Master
Daves head explodes,
thank you one and all.
I owe you a debt of
gratitude that I will
never repay. . .I mean
it will be difficult
to repay. .
.yeah, yeah that's it.
And finally to the listeners.
. .without you, there
is no reason for us
to be here.
Thanks. . .Gone fishin'!!!
Uncle Bob
(All the people named
above are living proof
that there is a power
in the universe grater
than myself and that's
all I need! "That
and this lamp and my
dog sh. . .")
And by the way. . .P.S.
- Kid Rock is living
proof that Detroit is
still the greatest Rock-N-Roll
city in the world. .
.God bless Detroit.
. .STILL. . ."The
HOME of Rock-n-Roll"
and my home town!
Ok. . .I think I'm done
now.
